New Update on the 96 XJ Tranny
I have checked everything and taken it to two damn good family friend mechanics. Bout came up with this: the clutch is down to bare metal and not connecting right from neutral to first gear but since it is already spinning when I am driving, it shifts fine the rest of the time. The solution is for me to constantly check the tranny fluid and TLC the tranny until tax return and then do a complete rebuild when I have the money.
Here this next summer "Jessie" (My Jeep) will look totally different. I'm planning on a 3" lift, dark tint windows, rebuilt tranny, Rhino Line lower half of the body, new Front & Rear heavy duty bumpers, tow package, and heavy duty winch. That's just a start. LoL
3" lift I've been looking at Sky Jacker, any other brands I might take a look at?

96 XJ, You might plan on doing your Slip Yoke Eliminator (SYE) while you have the tranny out. Just a thought.
ON another note, Slug 2.0 is alive. I have a couple of things to do to it just yet. my electric fan is not coming on so she is getting hot. and I have a couple of leaks. but that is to be expected. Next on the list is the addition of the 3" lift springs to the spacers and add-a-leaf lift it has now, swap T-cases and the double cardon drive shaft. Put my 32s back on it along with my winch bumper....Oh yea any ideas how to put a step on this so my GF who is 5' and my 8 year old who is the same height can crawl into it, without loosing ground clearance?

SYE is in the t-case you replace the shaft and change the drive-shaft to a telescoping one with a double cardon type. This disallows the yoke from slipping causing you to loose your tranny fluid, and or rear seal. Some extreme cases depending on the lift i have heard of the driveshaft falling out.
Slug 2.0 is alive and back together again. But i found my lower shock bushings are bad. No biggie Just one more thing to swap when I combine the lifts. But all in all she is ready for a test.....
