Just got the GC about a week ago. Had to put some tires on it and chasing down electrical gremlins and parts, but nothing cool yet. Putting together my "list" to get it to Moab in a few years along with the turbo motor im going to build for it.

 

Damn what kind of motor how big are you gonna build?

 

Ill either keep the 5.2 or put a LS3 based stroker out of a Vette in it.

Got my AC fixed finally

 

What was wrong with it?

 

Hey every body! Im moving to houston in august or so...just trying to figure out whats up there.

 

It was discharged when I bought it. I vacuum it for a few hours then recharged it. Still could only get 70 deg out the vents along with high pressures. I took it back apart, changed the liquid line which has the orifice tube built in and now seeing 41 deg temps out the vents.

I still need to fix the blend doors and replace the resistor along with fixing the wires to it, but I got some AC now!

Also going to line the entire Jeep with radiant barrier lining to reduce cabin temps.

 

Whats up CP. What side of Houston you moving to?

The heat here is far different from MI

 

Well i moved here when i was 12 from las vegas. So im use to 130 degrees dry heat. But thats nothing compared to humidity..so im guess its going to suck terribly
