Yeah I was thinking about it but for now a dakota will get me around and if I do get a Jeep eventually, I will probably park it at the gf's dad's place in duluth and just drive it the extra hour to gilbert. But that is all down the road. Right now I need to find a house too which is another reason I'm getting a truck! Hahaha

And yeah I can't wait to finally do tire runs for work and not have to put everything in the back in the passenger's seat to fit them inside..just toss them in the bed haha

o joy, house shopping.

My only piece of advice is to have 5000 CASH before you even start looking.

I have not really done much with my new to me house besides some insulation and basic repair things... Between the down payment and all the little stuff, not including the house payment, I have around 11k out of my pocket vested since May.

I'd love to have a truck for towing, so my jeep could be a trailer queen.

If the Jeep doesn't get to the trail on it's own power, it doesn't deserve to be on the trail.

False, the most trail capable jeeps aren't street legal, ie exo cage

Yeah undecided on buying a house or renting a town home yet. The thing is not sure where life is gonna be in 10 years. I want to move up north and so does she but we will see how our business does.

And yeah, I spent all day looked at about 10 different trucks. Both the dakotas I was looking at online were garbage. Only truck I really found that was good is a 98 Sierra 1500 with the 5.7, 4x4, black, extended cab, loaded. Has 177k and they want $6,000, said they'd take 5, I will try to talk them down more.

I am going to take it in for a PPI because I noticed 2 slits in the drop in bed liner and realized there is a hole cut over the gas tank. Looks like the PO got lazy and didn't want to drop the tank to do the fuel pump. Seeing how ghetto that is, I want to make sure he didn't ghetto rig more stuff.

There is something to be said about guys that drive and WHEEL their rigs. There is a club by the name of North Shore Wheelers and they are required to have street driven Jeeps. They trek out to Moab and Colorado wheeling every spring, driving their trail rigs, with supplys for a week or two, wheel hard, break, fix, drive home.

That being said,

I trailer my junk. Cuz I can. I wheel alot harder knowing that it doesnt have to get me to work in the morning.

You can put a exocage on a Honda Civic and it doesnt make it wheel better

The only cages I believe in are inside of drag/road course cars. My Jeep will never be more then a daily for me, not that she won't get wheel'd, but she won't be retired for the sake of wheeling. A toy for me is a car that goes fast and carves corners.

Am I the only one ridiculously excited to file taxes? First (nearly) full year of full time employment. And I still live with my parents which means I'm getting a good chunk of it back. Jeep is gonna look a lot different this spring..

It all depends on what I have at the time but it's more than likely going towards student loans haha. I'm excited though because I have been a full time student working 40 hour weeks so I'm hoping to make bank haha..but that never happens

Well got the ZJ back from having the motor swapped. These 4.0s have plenty of power with 3.73 gears!! Today I get to do brakes front and rear, find out what is causing the DW, and look for a cat back exhaust. Other than that this ZJ is ready for the winter!!
