Hi All,

I'm new to the forum, just purchased a 1999 XJ sport, in great shape and set up to plow our long driveway. Generally all in good shape, but looking for a trusty mechanic in the Denver area that won't over charge, but does the due diligence to let me know if something needs upcoming maintenance. Eventually hope to do my own repairs, but current life set up doesn't allow.

Also it looks like I'm in need of an immediate repair - axle fluid is leaking out of the driver's side end of the front axle, guessing the seal is shot.

Appreciate any thoughts!

A year ago I would've recommended Edgewater Jeep. Jimmy really knows his stuff but moved to Canon City. For your axles, check out Colorado Axle and Gear near Federal in northern Denver. Allen re-geared my axles almost ten years ago and I'm getting ready to take them back again to go even lower.

The Edge Automotive 4x4 off 285 near Santa Fe is a good shop. When I don't do my own work, I take it there.

I hear Northridge4x4 is also a good shop. I have no experience with them but everyone I talk to has been happy with their work.
