Nope. Sounds like heat soak though, the fuel rail gets to hot and the fuel boils. once it cools everything goes to normal.

Mine will do that but never that bad, it will just stumble on restart for a few seconds, then clear out. Hood vents/cowl hood/spacers some time soon if I can pick one haha

Few times when it won't star I've sprayed some starting fluid and it fires right up but only when I really need to go if not I wait until it starts but I'm tired of waiting around... I'm not a big fan of hood vents.... But I might just have too if it keeps doing that..

yes and no.

just pass the snakes parking area until you see the sign that says sunshine canyon, then turn right up that dirt rd, you should be able to see the motorhome from the hwy. if you don't then we're up a bit higher in the trees.

so maybe 1/4-1/2 mile from the snakes but not close to jacob city either

roughly here where the green arrow is where we'll be.

So I was thinking about what I take out on the trail, came across a thread talking about recovery gear. started thinking about what I pack on a trip to Moab or any other extended trip with wheeling involved... this is my list, anything I am missing?
(obviously I don't pack all this for the snakes lol)

there are tons of things really, and I can never remember them all lol. But I usually take-

Winch (8k Smittybuilt, just got it )
D-rings
F+R pull points
Diff yolk U/bolts
Diff straps and bolts (for others who forget, my left overs from my swap)
High-lift jack (60")
Tow strap (20', 16k lbs)
Tire plug kit
Air compressor (small portable unit, better then nothing)
Full size spare
Extra suspension Limit strap (in-case one rips)
Tie down straps (2-3, help hold things down/secure, limit travel, hold a torn mount, ect)
Front axle shafts
Drive-line U-joints 1310 (for me or another)
Axle u-joints 's 297's(for me or another)
Spare Serp belt
CB radio
Jumper cables
Blanket
Spare set of clothes (in case overnight/muddy/wet ect)
Flashlight (With good battery's)
Spare fluids (ATF use as trans-p/s fluid. 1GL H20 drink/coolant, qt oil ect)
hose clamps
fuses
small amount of wire
zip ties
some self tappers

And most importantly Tools, For everything above. I bring STD/Metric wrenches, Pry bars, breaker bars, sockets 3/8th" -1/2" axle nut socket for D30 folkes, D44 lock nut socket, and other odds and end tools.

Hey Tristen - there is an XJ making it up your metal masher ledge at 0:45. It is linked in the rear, a little stretched, and on 38s or so....but still
