Moral: If you have a legit issue, it might be worth your while to appeal. If you were straight up parking illegally, can you compain about the tickets? That said, @#%$ parking downtown. No wonder people in NY don't bother owning cars.

anyone know why leaf springs would fan out? the u bolts should be 120 pounds? i think i read that somewhere. when driving it feels like the rear axle is swinging around back there. could this just be loose u bolts? or could it also be bad spring bushings. or something else?

If you recently did anything with the Ubolts, you will want to re-torque periodically as they settle. To what degree is it "swinging around?" Mine are a little fanned, but I have never felt it was swinging around. If it is shifting around independent of the axle, it is either those or the bushings. The bushings usually get kind of loud when they are worn out that much. Although, I had shot bushings, and did not feel it swinging around - it was just noisy.

They always fan out a little, even when the Ubolts are tight. The Ubolts should be somewhere in the F'n'T region in torque
