and i would say around 800 for all the tube, tabs, gussets, footplates and other misc items like bolts and such. that would be enough to do a decent cage and fenders with bumper tie in. thats about what my buddy is into it at the moment, but remember thats just parts(i.e. tube and such) add in labor and goes up a lot more, this cage is about 3 weeks (give or take a couple days) of around 4 hrs a night plus 1 1/2 weekends on it.
now shop labor rate is about 75-150 an hr depending on the shop. i'll tell you right now i'm not charging him that but i'm not doing this for free either.

can't argue with that. just remember tube work is a PIA so spend the money on all the right tools to make your work easier.

I need to go wheeling soon. The last couple days, I have been roaming empty parking lots after work, looking for something to crawl onto with the Jeep that won't get me in trouble...
If all else fails, I guess I can bust out the 1/10 crawler and get things done the cheap way this weekend if i can't get out to something real.

I feel you, I'm suffering from a the lack of wheeling as well, seems the poor economy has dampened the festivities this year.

that cage is dam good looking, wish i had a tubing bender... that will be next on the list after axles and hydro is done.
