Northern Utah BS thread
Pleasant Grove right know, but building in Lindon.
My XJ is of course a work in progress.
1994, 4.0, 5 speed, 4:56 gears w/ lockright rear locker, SYE NP231, 6" saggy rusty's lift, 33x12.50 bfg's, Rock rails, Rock Bumpers, Winch, CB, Lights (in progress) Roof rack.
I kinda build it up when I have money. School and the House build is taking up most of it right know.
A little about me,
28yrs old, Married, Two Daughters, Work as a EMT and Firefighter fo Pleasant Grove Fire Department and Utah Department of Corrections. Attending Paramedic School right now.
Do you organize any trail rides on this forum?
Good to be here.

I didn't even know there was a restriction in the outlet of the airbox, but I pulled it out yesterday, cleaned the crap out of the IAT sensor, and cleaned and regapped my plugs and I noticed a big difference. I didn't relocate the IAT yet, but will probably do it next day off now that I see how important it really is. Even if you just do what I did, its deff worth it, it took less than an hour, and its FREE!!

Seems your becoming quite the Jeep junkie which is cool, I told my son on the way home from little moab "I think Aaron might be hooked"! I can't wait to go again.
Almost forgot, what did you clean the IAT with?

You said you noticed a difference, as far as what? Looks like it could be a good mod on the cheap. You also said you re-gapped your plugs, did you just double check the gap to factory or did you change the gap. Thanks for the link I think I might give this a try as mine gets about the same gas milaege as the space shuttle

(young, dumb, and full of chum)I just cleaned my plugs and double checked the gaps (a couple were off). I cleaned the IAT with carb cleaner and I pulled out the intake restriction and cleaned the intake tube and throttle body. Try it!
