Is there any tech stuff on the PET or is it just a dirt road?
Yeah, just dirt roads, but with the clayey soils out there, that can be enough of a challenge sometimes.

Are these spots common? I've never heard of them, but then again I'm still trying to think of which mountain your are referring to as "boob mtn"

Not to rain on your trip planning, just through out options. Have you heard that the U4WDA is having there winter gathering (South West Crawl Fest) in the St. George area on January 29th and 30th. In addition, the Utah 4x4 club is having their gather on February 12th and 13th (same area).

No the trails aren't comon wheelin trails but used more for hunting & camping! Boob mt is the single lone mt/hill on the right hand side of the dugway road if ur heading from I80!
I would love to go to crawl fest but its just to far for me!

How much are you guys getting up in SLC? I have been debating on busting out the skis and taking a road trip. It has been snowing here since Monday night but its on and off so it hasn't accumulated more than 4 inches or so.

If it keeps coming down like it is right now at my place we're going to get quite a bit. All the better to make fun of the car drivers I work with tomorrow morning when they're late as hell!

I'd love to join this one but with just getting through Christmas I don't have the funds for it. And don't sweat ruining the trip planning, it's not planned, I just threw PET out there because I've never winter wheeled and really don't have any idea where might be best to go. I think everyone would agree with me that all ideas are welcome.

Sweeeet! Man I wish SLC wasn't a 4.5 hour drive for me... I would be up at the Bird right after New Years. I got free lodging with a buddy of mine too. I should just suck it up and go. It's just everything is $$$

Nice! Yeah I have only been there a few times. I don't know the area that well either but Mineral Basin is awesome! I would also love to do some BC up there as well but it would have to be with someone that knew the area and the terrain. If work down here stays as dead as it is now I may come up there and stay with my buddy later in the winter for like a month. I will let you know if I do and we should meet up sometime. He knows the place well since this will be his second full season there. Plus I will be driving the jeep so I will be in Sandy if you guys happen to do any wheelin during that time.
