Thanks ya the jack wagon that sold me my grand told me it had a locker in it but he welded it and it blew up last night

The hydro assist seams like its turning slower then with out is that normal ?

Yes. Are you running an after market pump? What size ram? The stock pump can't pump enough to turn the ram at a decent speed, that coupled with a bigger ram like a 2" makes it super slow. Buy an aftermarket pump and or a smaller pulley.

Word! all depends on the over all setup. Mine was ok with stock pump (1.5" ram) then I put a WJ pump (higher pressure/volume) and a PSC small pulley on it, Turns like a dream now. Its more responsive then the stock setup was for sure. Unless you jerk it left then right and back, the lag is normal in that case as the fluid has to change directions.

But as Zach Stated You need a better pump and a small pulley to compensate for the ram (if you care to change it)
