So the plan is to put the 4x4 cam, ported/polished head with performance springs rockers blah blah blah onto stock 4.0L bottom end and run it. :/

I wouldn't even worry about it really. Its just fine for me but I have hydro-assist But to honestly answer your question. Mine blew donkey ***** turning at all when in 4wd and a locker up front. BUT mine was also hard to turn at low speeds and I would have to bump the throttle to get it to turn in parking lots at very slow speeds (before the locker) I then locked it and it became impossible in 4wd. I put hydro on and my steering was only a TINY bit better. I replaced the pump and BOOM it feels like the tires are off the ground all the time 4wd/2wd w/e... I think i had 2 things going, locked front end and a bad pump with little-no pressure or assist. Lock that *****! lol Cory has a used PSC pully he would sell for a good price I am sure if you want a little boost at low RPMS. I would recommend it I love mine. the WJ pump helps too lol
Nice I didnt know you were having issues before hand, that's not to say I won't have issues. Plus I'm still running stock steering. I wounding even think about putting assist on a 30 lol so ya ill just see about the durango box (you said WJ???) Either way is yours still under warranty?

And Cory if you spot this how much you want for that PSC pulley?

My pump is a WJ (has higher pressure feed) it actually blew my high side line the day after I put it on lol (lots of write-ups about it, i did not drill the valve bigger FYI)

My Durango box is not under warranty anymore.. lol that ran out in Dec.

I wouldn't run assist on a D30 either, the pulley should help when at a stop or low rpm, Cory has a Pulley and a good looking belt too lol (I have them at the moment) Just give him a call/text.

But other then getting the pulley used I wouldn't do anything more until its needed. Other wise you end up doing what i do with everything...

I want a psc pulley, I guess I should do a Durango box too, if I do that I might as well do hydro... if I do hydro I should run a cooler... If I do that I should boost pressure and get a WJ pump....

end result I love my Pulley upgrade! LOL fail

"hydro assist on a D30"
has anybody done that? it sound's like a really bad idea....The binding alone with the steering and a locker kinda makes me sad

Looks good, I like how you tucked the cage outside by the door hinges. I also like the cross bracing.
