i can't find an aftermarket diff cover for the 9" what gives??

 

I'll give you a million bucks if you can find one, they're a unicorn of an axle part.


And by unicorn I mean a mythical ford part that don't really exist.

 

housings aren't that hard to find....

the part you should upgrade is the third.

(9" does not have a diff cover. the third is a drop out and the housing is solid like a Toyota)

 

Have one made fat bobs will make one for around 150

 

oh, well i want to upgrade one from a 9 inch ring gear to a 10 inch ring gear? i know people have done it but im just wondering how to do it

 

You have to buy a new dropout and have the housing machined to accomodate

Stupid big brother....slowly my 9 is getting done.the housing is machines for the 609 dropout now. Hard part is done. Maybe I'll have the spineless put on it too. I'm getting lazy now that the white cold **** is here.
