Yeah I did, i pulled ashim out on the pinion, cause the new front bearings losend up during break in. It allowed just enough play in the pinnion to vibrate. But I need a sye or longer slip yoke to fix the other. The splines are a little loose it may be from the 250k + miles on the jeep lol.

I did mine by my self. Its not hard just time consuming and a lot of up an down to get shims, install, test run the compound, add another shim then retry, etc. Just make sure you have all the tools first. I would definitely recomend a cheapo harbor freight press.

It's more then just showing and checking. You have to press bearings off and on its not hard but it does take some knowledge. Read the gear bible on pirate. You'll see why they cost so much for the set up. The tools are more expensive then the gears themselves. Nobody said learning is cheap. This is one of those things is your going to have to throw some money down.

Are they going to be running out in Puerco again? Last year, that's what got the landowners all pissy.

Apparently splitting the group for puerco and cedro. I'm gonna go to the start and test my luck on the raffle and see what kinda free stuff I can nab. I won't go out on the trails with them. I heard the same about the land owners from last year

I drove past yesterday with the kids on my way to run some errands. It looked like a small gathering.

Do you know if they actually got permission this year to run in Puerco?

There has to be an easier solution to this whole Puerco situation. Has anyone actually tried to sit down and sort out some kind of shared use arrangement. In California, we did this quite successfully with the mountain biking community and some private land owners. It worked a lot like a ski pass, you paid a $5 daily or $40 annual fee for a pass which stated that you assumed ALL responsibility and liability and the landowner was responsible for NOTHING, and everyone had to abide by the rules of where you could and couldn't go. If you didn't they could yank the pass, shut down the area for a period, etc. The mountain bike community became the strongest enforcer of poachers after that so it wouldn't get shut down.

Since they have not developed out there for going on 15 years, perhaps they would be willing to share what they have, rather than fighting to keep everyone off and losing badly.
