Alright, I think my alternator is going and I only want to deal with this once. I've read that the alternator stinks on XJ's. I have an 88 XJ. What is the ultimate/best fix for this. I don't plan on going too crazy with lights. I may do some small LED bars up front eventually and some headlamp upgrades.

I've been looking for the same thing and found that have it rebuild or to have the guts taken out of a I wanna say chevy 140amp and just use the old case but I don't remember or if I've right. Hopefully crusier or 5-90 or anyone else will chime in. I was lucky and was able to snag one off my parts jeep that was a 100amp instead of a 75 or 65.

Look into 98 and 98 cherokee and grand. There should be a 124 and 136 amp options in parts searches. Don't forget to upgrade the wiring as well.

External regulated vs internal regulated, if I remember right Renix is external I think.

What sort of wiring upgrades do I need to do with this option?

Guys I need some opinions. I've been driving stock way too long since I sold my old xj. I'm think about doing a bastard pack 4 inch lift and get some 31s until I save up for my long arm kit. What do you think? Its either do a bastard pack or wait and save for my long arm kit and 33s plus all the other fun stuff that you gotta do.

9 AM is perfect. But i think if your gonna go to 33s you should just start off with 33s, im only at 3" and know I would fit them, they would be perfect for 4"

Default Drill Press

Anyone have a drill press capable of holding a board on end at 20" tall and still have room for the drill bit to plunge 3/4" into the board? I'm working with some fun honeycomb composites.

yeah id say "DEW IT"(IN my best starsky voice)im gonna be doing a bastard pack on my 90(as son as my k5,and mcSS projects are somewhat satisfied,an i purchase a mint wagoneer from a ol lady i know that just needs some bingo money!)i picked up isuzu rodeo(iirc from a 92) rear spring packs for this ive read itll give you a better ride,as they are not as stiff as s10,or dakotas, and hat they also have a larger arch to them which will gain you around 4.5(eliminating he bottom "helper leaf"and using the rest of the upper leafs fro the rodeo, with the top being the xj hanger)as for the front i have new 4.5 rubicon express components, that i picked up from a rolled jeep
