How difficult Is the place you guys planning on going? My gf and I are planning on heading to Jemez on Sunday. Maybe we can meet up with you guys.

so trimmed my muffler mount a lil and now it fits, really tight fit but didnt band on anything on the to and back from auto zone.... went to get the rtv gasket make so i can mount my hood vents..... how does the hood release cable come off so i can take my hood off?

Why are you gonna take it off, trust me its not something you want to take off, well put back on by yourself. The harderst part of doing the spacers were putting the bolts back in. I had to like use my head to hold it up as I put the bolt in with one hand and held the hood in place with the other.

But yeah, Its really small. Mine will be a 2x6 and Ill make my own tie ins.

so i cant get the 4th bolt on the gas tank skid plate cause the gas hose that goes thru the frame is in the way and i cant fish a nut to the hole i need.... any suggestions

so your sayin just cut the holes for the vents while its on the jeep?....oh and lemme know when your gonna get your metal ill go with you i need to get some... decided i better get bumper made before the next big trip....hopefully we can plan like a big camp/offroad trip this spring maybe spring break or something....

Go back to the jy and get the nut strips will be the easiest way and no more fighting. I remember when I took off my hitch they had it the bolts fished thru and still was a pain getting them out.

I plan to do it on the jeep. maybe lay down a welding blanket. And im going for metal once I get the taxes. But id be way down for a camping trip

I have seen the holes for hood vents cut with the hood on the jeep.

You can you just gotta be more careful. How the cable come out is the gotta wedge a screwdriver and pop it out and then unhook the ball off, I've always done it like that.

I cut my hood while is was on the Jeep. Taking that cable off is a PITA.
