There's no way 5 gallons will be big enough for all 4 tires, unless it's nitrogen.
You're on 33s, right?

Are you guys still planning on going out on the 12th? I'd like to meet the rest of you guys and go out one last time before gears and lockers.

Went wheeling out in the Puerco today. It was cold and windy, but still had a good time.

This was posted on nm offroad today, looks like it's time to hit the puerco hard.

I'm new to this sight and this is my first post. My wife and I are new to off roading for the simple fact we haven't lived anywhere that had a location anything resembling the end of Southern and the Rio Puerco.

We live right off of Southern so we find ourselves out in the playground quite regularly. We were out there all day today (8am to after 3pm). Yesterday were there from about 11am to after 5pm.

As we were about to leave yesterday we sat at the top of the sand hill and watched a Sandoval County Sheriffs Deputy drive around the staging area in his SUV and speak to every person or group he could find. When he was finished with everyone that was out there at that time we went down the hill which he approached us.
He was very courteous and friendly, he explained to us that the property (area stated in the flier) had been sold to a company and that they would be occupying the area off of the ridge (down in the valley). He also stated that the area (company) would have a relationship directly or indirectly with the "military", that when things get rolling out there, there would eventually be armed guards patrolling.
He stated that since there are no signs yet saying stay out, the Sheriffs office really can't kick anyone out of the area. He stated that all he (the deputy) was trying to do was to give people a little heads up to what was coming. He didn't know when postings would be going up but thought it may be pretty soon. He said he rides out there himself when he gets the chance so he is just as upset as everyone else. I failed to get his name or badge number.

So..... anyway.
I don't think I have to explain how bummed we are about this news particularly since it appears quite immanent due to the fact a Sheriffs Deputy was out there explaining what is going down.
The deputy's parting words were to enjoy the area while you can, after the signs go up they will be issuing citations.

My only motivation here is to let ya'll know what I know.

Cheers,
Eyes wide open.
