This post makes me sad. I miss my 98 GST. Got her when I was 17. Years later I took her on a trip to Virginia with a buddy to pick up a WRX. We raced are way back. Deep into Tennessee my timing belt snapped. Spent a good amount of money getting her towed to a dealership. We left her there and drove back to NM in the X. Few weeks later I took a bus out there and picked her up. Within months of having her back the timing belt tore down the middle two pieces. Hah sorry for the stroll down memory lane anyway long story short she set in a few different garages without a motor but when I moved to Abq into an apartment she had to go. I still have the cam gears 14 years later.

Speaking of first cars, I miss my Jetta sometimes, the only thing I dont miss is FWD, The top was before I painted my wheels and before a removed my tail tint(cop made me) the bottom was exactly how she got traded for the jeep. I had some good plans for her, but german cars are expensive. I planned to drop more on coilovers, spacers to make the wheels flush with the fenders, 18x8or9's, APR stage 2+ tune, finish my exhuast with a 3in down pipe and not cat, and various small mods to help me get to the goal I had of 350whp. I had already retinted, dropped like .8" on gli springs, 2.5" custom cat back, mbc, and little visual mods, oh and a new head unit.

The toys for tots run was a joke last year. Meet up on the mesa. Didnt go for any ride. Just parked there. And we didnt drive around really. We just drove to the lodge and all stood outside. I got bored and left and just gave my donation to a local charity. Its horribly organized.
