Youll be fine without the lines, with 33s your gonna hit your fenders before you max them out. My 31s do and they stuff about 3 inches in

The brake lines extend when you flex not the other way. Your brake lines were probably way stretched out when you flexed.

I'm bump stopped so I will not hit the fender. Also the amount of up travel on one side does not limit the droop on the other side. You will out out flex your brake lines once you get new lca. The stock ones hit the coil bucket before they allow enough flex to break the line. Then the stock TB will be the next limiting factor. Granted that your shocks are long enough to not be the limiting factor.

This is 37 on 4 inches of lift. His ds is binding limiting any more usable flex. Not the tucked tire that is not actually hitting the fender because it is bump stopped correctly. Flex is a lot more than just lift height.

His fenders are smashed from the tires.

But I know its more than just lift, but more lift allows for more up travel.

He must not be bump stopped correctly and yeah it does. Up travel is for desert runners.

I'm not disagreeing with you about the up travel. If you want to jump your XJ low cog is not for you. You said I would not need new brake lines. My hole point was 33s and 3.5 inches of lift is plenty enough to break the stock brake lines if your setup for flex.

I want my rig to be capable of what ever I (logically) point it at. I originally wanted to run 33s with my lift but, then thought about, regearing, overall height, and trail running. I have already found some things that cant be done because the frame/body bottom out, thats what is encouraging me to go to 6 inched. But all I was saying don't let not having the break lines stop you from going out.

No you need to bump stop or you will mess up your tires and fenders.

He is running stock back spacing. Yours are going to stick out more at 3.75 back spacing.
