My uncle who is a mechanic for ford said the double Cardon drive shafts make a weird humming noise. That's bull if it does. Never heard of it. But that's on fords.
He is right I didn't think about that one, I had the same thing happen to mine I cleaned it up and shot some grease in that ball and good as new.
As for what your saying with from your other post, of when you disengaged the clutch the humming stops and it only between 35 and up. To me that would sound like a clutch issue where the pressure plate or even the pilot bearing is shot, but you would be getting it all the time you would think. Have you tired jacking it up and having someone listen to see if them hear anything? We used to do it at work with good results as long as you didn't press the brakes and let it slow its self down.

I have a brand new luk clutch pressure plate and bearing in there. Yeah it could be bad. I took my rear drive line off last night and drove in front wheel drive up to 35 though an no noises at all. Ran good. And no humming. I'm freakin lost with this thing.
