I would say early, but not too early. Its probably going to be cold by then and ill prob take the doors off, unless its muddy. That and I have no heater.

Hopefully I'll have mine fixed. Gonna pull the head and change the lifters so it will quit clacking. Tomorrow is the day. Got everything to do it. So tired of the clack clack clack. Lol.

What's up with a 304??? It's not for me a really good friend of mine's dad wants a 304 to go in his cj5. Wants a 304 cuz the vin calls for a 304

 

Well, use a 304 then. It was an engine designed by AMC strictly to meet emissions and is a slug as far as performance.

 

I personally know nothing about it. I'm not a chevy fan at all but I know a 350 is a popular swap into a cj I told him to do that but he wants either a 304 or a 360 try to keep it all original I guess.

 

Yea its not worth yet if your wanna go numbers then yea go for it but you'll pay doubble the price. Where you could build a nasty 350 or even a 400 and have extra to play with.
