I went NROTC and spent 20-years in the Navy. Zero regrets, and some excellent times. Got to see the world, learn some valuable skills, and met some great people. Highly recommended.

 

Like I said before, you're just a normal college student unless you're training during those two summers.

 

i say join the air force or navy. finish school while youre in for 4 years, dont take any offers to sign up for longer. then you can get out and have the experience and degree for a carrer, stay in as enlisted or become an officer. you can go a long way in that first 4 years, its up to your dedication.

talk to your recruiter and take everything they say with a grain of salt. make sure you have the job YOU want in writing before signing any documents. got questions, ask the guys that are in the service and not behind the desk.

if youre enganged, get married FIRST!

 

Ok, I will most likely get married first. I was thinking of getting in and going for automotive and when I get out I was gonna pursue that direction
