Ok so here goes nothing,
I am quite new to the whole wheeling thing. I have been a few times with a friend but never in the driver seat. He had a B.A. 77 Chevy w/ a monster lift. He never really showed it off to much on the rocks.
I have a 96 Cherokee with a 3.5 and 31s. I have the SYE but stock diff gears. I have traveled the trails in and around Rainbow Falls here. My favorite was Illinoise Gulch but was kinda afraid to do to much on Moab Hill because I didnt want to break anything alone. I have taken the wife and kids there and we all have a good time. I would like to get together with a group of guys that understand a newb as well as I dont want to break anything (its my DD). I do not own a dedicated crawler, more of a versitile machine. I try and go every weekend but its not always in the cards. If any of you are cool enough to go and hang out and show a newb how its done and talk shop please let me know. I would love to tag along!!!
Please feel free to PM me or call/text me at 719-205-9309 Thanks and happy wheeling!

With something that dangerous, I think I want to get some more time under my belt as well as gain the confidence in my rig. I really need to put a new clutch in before I do anything like that. Thanks for the offer though.

ok So I went ahead and got my clutch done ($1000 later). Yes I know I could have done it myself for around $150 but with a bum shoulder and having to lay onthe ground under the Jeep, I just didnt want to do it.
Well anyway, I wanna go out this weekend. Something close to the springs. I was thinking going back to Rainbow Falls but not sure because of the fire. Are any of you going somewhere close to the springs? I would love to go and make a day of it.
I was also looking at Eagle Rock but have no idea what the trails really are like. Come on guys lets do it!!!

Er, is doable but wouldn't be fun. Rainbow and rampant are open. Check out www.traildamage.com and the gulch's.
