Google Earth or Maps Finds and discussions
We will have to get together though Sir. Like I mentioned, the permit for the "Project" looks like it will be approved soon. We will be camping around your area for a bit while working on it.

But we will be there through a couple weekends too. As long as no one in the same field in your area gets wind we are heading up there, everything should work out. It's a serious cutthroat field and they would "claim jump" us or throw a wrench in the works in a heartbeat. All the gloves are off with these guys in this field, they are greedy, ruthless and have absolutely no scruples.

I'm sure we could fit in an early Breakfast or you could come meet and have dinner with the crew. I know you would find it interesting!

For me... either afternoon-ish on Fridays or weekends will work best with my schedule... so hopefully that pans out. Would love to be a part of things like that.

And they gave us no choice because we had dealt with them in the past and it was ugly. But once it is gridded off and the surface is cleared and the paper is clean we are good to go even if they do find out at that point, which they will.
But there will not be anyone there authorized to take chain of custody over the finds like they would want to. Like they have done before. That is why we went around them. That custody thing becomes viscous.

Well it kinda is in a way... What would start a feud would be the fact that we went straight to the top of the food chain to get approval. Local entities get upset when you go around them and above their head like that. But we have every legal right to do so.

Yeah I have read about those and there is actually one near Phoenix that I think you can drive on, haven't been there yet. Lots of info on all of them here: http://www.airfields-freeman.com/AZ/...Z_GilaBend.htm
The picture I posted above is actually air fields on an active military base. Can you find which one?

Cool link! looks like all the triangle fields are old auxiliary strips for Luke AFB.

How do you get that type of map that you are taking screenshots of? Is it a google maps feature or something else? it looks way nicer than the screenshots I usually take...

These days Google Maps and Google Earth are almost identical, they just have different locations of the features/functions. On my Windows lap top I use the Snipping Tool. At work on my Mac I use Shift-Command-4 and you can choose the area of the screen to grab (same with the Snipping Tool).
