Looks like the caliper brakes are wrong. No part numbers on 'em since they are stamped steel. there just isn't enough room between the the bracket and the rotor for the pad to fit. looks like I'm going to the U-pull today.........ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

that sucks, but at least you figured it out pretty quick.

i hate pulling that crap at the jy! soooooooo greeeezy and dirty!!!!

be sure to post pics when your done! i like seeing hybrid stuff.

i stripped my 9 inch of all its ford brkts and gunk yesterday. found a nice crack that had been welded up on the back of the housing. whoever welded it, did it incorrectly. they just buzzed a bead over the crack. just soo all of you know, if you have a crack that you are trying to weld up, there is a right way of doing it.

drill a hole at each end of the crack before welding!!!! this makes it so the crackcannot continue to spread. on my housing, its spreading. looks like i will be fixing that and trussing the crap out of it. and yes, ichecked to make sure the housing is straight.

i hate typing on my laptop.

Today I learned that fourwheeling can really injure you. I had a few scary instances. I'm glad I learned the easy way

one shot from the day at least..

Injury in the least. Death worst case.

What happened?

I strapped onto a buddy's rear recovery points points to ease him out of the gravel, all four tires had sunk in in his CJ on a pretty gnarly hill. I reverse slowly and he starts coming out fine but when he was out all the way he started slipping backwards on the gravel towards me and the XJ. He had brakes on and everything it was just a ridculous amount of loose gravel. I coulda back up but I wasnt exactly sure where all the other spectators were and i didnt want to floor it not knowing if someone was behind me or not. This happened in a split second.

His CJ slid back and collided with the rear quarter of the XJ. Not bad damage at all but just to think if someone were in between the vehicles they would've been crushed. I know now to always be aware of ALL people, in a rig or out, when wheeling.

It was kinda minimal but if something were to happen, I don't know what I would do with myself

On the brighter side i found a really good spot on herman. Really washed out steep hills and rock climbs. We should hit it up before you take off forever.

It's an EPIC ride, but you better be ready for it! It's 26 miles round trip. Starts at 10k feet, ends at almost 12k, and total climb RT is about 3600ft.

I thought I was more ready than I was lol..

back to work today....boooo!

estes park was amazing this weekend, as usual. i need more vacations.

got a lot of my front truss and mounts completed yesterday, which then took out my bad back.

my gf gave me a back message before bed and i was felling a little better.

then at about 330 am i heard a big bang followed by my jeeps alarm. i flew out of bed, and completly forgot my girl had bought a HUGE trunk to go at the end of the bed. needless to say, i ate shyt onto the floor, but got right back up and flew outside. i found nothing by my jeep and the windows were still there so i went back inside.

then the pain started to kick in.........i have a huge cut on my foot and its swollen like a ****. also have cuts on my knee and my wrist hurts......and here comes my girl with the peroxide and bandages.........man, I'm gonna have to marry this girl soon!!!

so, all in all, i had a bad night....way to end vacation eh?

on a side note, im going to grab rock slider materials today!!!!!! im building my sliders like i always do.....kinda like a mini boatside
