And without a cage, or stiffeners.......... Say good by to the jeep and the unibody. Ask me how I know. Unless your jeep is fully plated and has a crazy *** cage like pitbull did, you **** will never again seal correct, and Your doors will sag, and uni body will eat it self apart. That'd how I destroyed my last one. Should of never taken the doors off. This one it won't happen.

I lost my grandma 3 years ago and we didn't have to money to go to the funeral. She lived in Poland. It was hard man :/. If u need to talk u have my number
I bought it like this , the cut it and ran it like that for a little. Got bored one day and started mocking stuff up. Then got some metal and had my pieces cut out. Then started putting them together. Welded all up then sandblasted it (no pics of those) then primed it and bedlined it and now done
lol

Biggest problem I had was almost ripping a hinge off on a rock
Ok an what kinda trails were you doing?
i don't think stock axles and 31s are enough unsprung weight to break a unibody. moody hill and kelly flats are the most difficult I did, and for the most part what I would do would be easy stuff with bigger tires or lockers.
that aside, if the doors were structural they would be attached with something stronger than two 1/4" mild steel pins and a latch system that can be pried open with a crowbar

True. For a test go on a drive with the doors on and the windows open and put your fingers in the crack between the door and the body up top you will feel constant pressure and change of pressure from unibody moving with the road and the bumps and everything else this shows that the for doors probably have very little to no structural integrity on unibody.. With the type of Wheeling that ruin your you in a body it's because of the type of Wheeling not because of the no doors

Removing the doors will not disintegrate the unibody...lol. Chad I though I recall you doing the doorless mod to the hinges of your XJ ?...that mod will cause the doors to not seal or hang correctly after being done , So if you did do that mod then possibly that's a reason for you XJ's door woes ...Danny's XJ (chinakee) ran doorless and his doors closed /sealed fine B4 he rolled it , and was running 60's and 42's with no frame bracing and it is a 2 door so it has 1 less pillar brace, Danny has run all the trails we have ...the lack of Cage and bracing did not fair so well on his flop ,but doors will not help that either .
So back in August I traded off my XJ for a Beastly YJ. Fun rig so far... The guy I traded my XJ to did a bunch of stuff to the XJ. New 35" Kevlars and rims. Rock Krawler Steering. Rebuilt the front axle and beefed it up as much as you can. Truss and Iron Rock Track Bar. Fixed a bunch of issues on it to. Slapped in a yellow top optima and other mics items. He has been thinking about selling it to get a JK ( LOL yeah I know right ) and was going to put it on craiglist for around 6K. ( worth the money for the Jeep Good build I know ) He kept bugging me about finding someone to buy it from him and finally told me if I wanted to buy it back he would sell it for cheap to get cash for a down payment on the JK he wanted. MY wife told me I should buy it back cos she wanted it. ( yeah I have an awesome wife
) Moral of the story and 4K later

Guess what found its way home.
