Never shot the 770 but I have a Ruger M77 mark II (30-06) that I love !

I'm definitely not the best in this department as I have limited experience and limited time doing research, and it was all mostly for lower caliber rifles. Budget? Have you joined any sort of shooting / gun forums or poked around in like the optics sections? It's worth your time usually, I joined a forum and didn't post hardly at all, just read threads talking about optics.

Terrible rifle. I had one in .308 and they eventually bought it back from me. Buy a savage 111 or if you want to go the cheaper route the savage axis is good for the money.

Would I be able to keep my rig at anyones place cause my tags are due but I'm gonna go obvious n my apt complex will tow anyone without current tags?

Just turn it around in your covered area. That way the tags are towards the wall. Then just park as close as possible so no one can look at the tags

You have one month grace period after the date on the tags. Hopefully they understand that unless you are past that.
