sounds like a good setup..

have you driven your rig in bad weather w/it locked in front? i have always wanted to do that, but my wife will sometimes use the jeeps, and so in my last 3 i have put truetracs in there.. not the best for wheeling, but they are good on street.

So can I just go get any random junkyard shaft from an auto xj and have it ready when I do my sye, or do I have to put in the sye and go waste all my time measuring shafts at the yard. I would like to just go buy one and have it all ready to tear into

Do your research with lift size and what length ds will be needed. That's what I did on mine and it worked out perfect.
