I was at O' Reilly's the other day and pulled up right next to the exact same year, and color as my XJ, maybe even the same lift height and tire size.....to top it all off, there were Cherokee Forum stickers on his back windows as well as mine :O

Went to the shop. Brakes are good. They told me it's the diff. Going to get a second opinion to make sure. Not too pleased about they're diagnosis. How hard would it be to swap out an axle?

So I got the problem all figured out... Power steering pump pulley is misaligned with the rest of the pulleys and it is pulling the belt sideways about an 1/8th of an inch and shredding the backside of it. So moral of the story don't let pep boys press a pulley on your power steering pump. Friend is getting a pulley press thing for jeeps though and it should be fixed and sounding good again Saturday
