Haha, I must have got names mixed up, that's what I get for thinking I could remember your name after only hearing it once, I guess, haha.
Anyways, that's good to know, I don't rub unless I'm flexing hard. If I flex hard it rubs on some stuff. If I'm just level and turn full stop, it doesn't rub. Reason being though, is I barely rub with 29's, so I was wondering if it was much worse with 30's...

Yeah, I believe in "bigger is better" (not only for jeeps, haha) too.
I'm planning on doing about 3 or 3.5 inches of lift next summer, maybe, at that time I plan on buying me some 31's.
I know I know, it's not going to stop there, but hey, you gotta start small right?

well i would buy what you want i have heard alot of guess buy the smaller lifts and be upset that they have to keep putting money in to it to get it taller and just wished that they had went to the big lift the first time. like i cut back on the long arm because of price and now i am really regretting it.

its gonna take time and the almighty buck, my last rig was a very capable rig but was very fugly, I am wanting a nicer looking rig that is equally capable and as "new" as I can get thus the 01, also wanted to start out as stock as the prior rigs (94 YJ and 90 XJ) when I got into wheeling where already "built" so wanted to learn wheeling from the beginning. I have kept many parts from the 90XJ such as trans, xfercase and the D44.

well depends on how you look at it and what stage in life someone is in. For me an BS it's help us alot since we dont have good paying jobs (or at least me) its better for us. and since we beat the crap out of ours its more cost effective. Other older generations take better care of the vehicle and want it to look better and build it from stratch for the pride of it and understand it better.

Yeah i put 6 in mine total i could have bought one with 4.56 gears and arbs for 4000 and than just ugraded the lift and tires and been happy. But nope parents thought that it was too beat up because it had a big dent in the door so i got a 2000 dollar one and it had a hole in the door from rust behind the plastic trim. Just wish i had but it built and atleast had a starting point

thats kinda what I am doing, my old 90 XJ was built, had ARB lockers front and rear, 4.56 gears, lift and 33's and a D44 with disk brake conversion. got the 01 and from the 90 kept both axles. so when I get my lift I already have the axles needed and just need to slide them under. not in any hurry to get the lift. I am doing engine mods and other "little" stuff before the big chunk of change is set down for the lift I want.
Paid $2900 for 01 XJ have about $500 into it thinking when all said and done should be in the 6K to 8K total

I am looking at getting the iron rock offroad critical path 6.5" lift.

although I am in no rush to get a lift I may change my mind if I find something better.
