I think all forums are dead right now...

Figured most of you AZ guys would be hiding inside away from the heat. Its only about 95° out today so its not too bad. I will be installing a sway bar on my Evo when I get home. Cant say if I was still out in AZ I would be doing the same... I really dont miss the summer months out there.

I know.. it's the summer months so out wheeling instead of posting maybe?
but there are days in between the wheeling days... lol. I was speaking to the AZ region specifically here. Seems to have been d e a d for a while now... :dunno:

5-Speed 07-08-2019 05:47 PM

Ya the AZ section seems to be constantly flowing most of the time. But it has been dead for a while now. If it makes you feel any better, look at the CA section.... extra dead.

RocketMouse 07-09-2019 07:24 PM

not really... lol...but it is what it is.

RocketMouse 09-02-2019 08:58 PM

Oh my Lord.... seriously? Where the @$%@#$ is everyone??? 2 months.... really? Did the sun bake ya'lls brains too much to log in to talk with your (local) people? and I was the one who posted last beginning of July...
what a sad world...

XjJunky 09-03-2019 09:29 AM

They are dead as hell. Posted up last week about a wheeling trip we took Saturday to invite people to come up and have a great time and not 1 responce. Pretty disappointing but whatevs. Another disappointing issue when we went up there for our trip out of the probably couple thousand jeeps up there wheeling the only 2 xj's on the mountain where my brother in law and I. Thats some hella disappointing **** there. Best part though is out wheeling all those shi**y Wranglers

RocketMouse 09-03-2019 12:31 PM

And where I currently am... I see at least 4-5 XJs on the road to work every day.... plus the side roads I use to get to work are lined with about a dozen XJs of various years and levels of modding... so what gives?

EZEARL 09-03-2019 03:10 PM

Went to Jeep Beach (Daytona,FLA.) this year for the first time. Although the XJ's were well represented with some very well built rigs they were few and far in between and not one Cherokee Forum sticker that I saw. My son who lives down there wanted my wife and me (and of course the dog) to bring our XJ down. But no way I could make a trip like that even with frequent stops.

RocketMouse 11-25-2019 10:37 AM

looks like they are still dead here too... weird.

StealthyMcStealth 01-26-2020 06:27 PM

First AZ post of 2020! Lol. Getting 31s in two weeks so I know I will want to test them out. Will try to check in more often.

Hey there my friend..... you gave us a scare pulling that Houdini act on us here.... we were worried about ya bro. Good to see you back.
31s? I thought about that...but decided to stay rolling on my 30s... I get better articulation and can stuff without rubbing better off-road with my mild lift I got on her now. Plus I don't think I could put a 31 spare in the back window my 30" one barely fits in the stock location.
Definitely throw up some pics when you get them on. Have you done a lift or anything yet?

Prescott isn't bad for weather usually. Pretty hot right now, though. Is this really a 10 year old thread or is my browser messing with me?

doublechaz 08-16-2020 04:34 AM

I guess it was the browser. Now I see current posts.

Yeah. Not usually this hot so many days in a row.

doublechaz 08-16-2020 08:38 PM

This year has been rough. I'm pretty big into distributed computing. This is the first year I've had to shut down to keep the house tolerable. A/C just can't keep up with the weather and all the computers.

I've lived here 40 years, and don't remember it being so hot for so long.
BTW, I looked to see if I had a shifter. I don't.

aroundincircles 08-16-2020 10:48 PM

It's been rough, i was hoping it would finally cool down so I could work on my new toy, but it's above 110 through the end of the month... why? and still no storms.

doublechaz 08-17-2020 12:30 AM

I've been working on mine after midnight.

Thanks. I got the PRNDL lever from the local yard. The turn signal and dimmer are on order. I forget what else there is.

Hey man! I apologize for the delay in reply, I never got an email alert... I have been busy as hell with a web project and all this new covid lifestyle crap. I think I saw your rig down in the valley as I was going through a couple days ago... On 95 south of the mesa? Was that you following a white Dodge work truck? That was me... lol

I am going to PM you my friend... I just caught up with Rocket, he PM'ed me. :)

StealthyMcStealth 01-03-2021 07:19 PM

Just checking in. My rig is all flat black now, aka "Stealthy." LOL. Was a beautiful day to be out exploring the middle of nowhere today.

StealthyMcStealth 01-04-2021 09:56 PM

Oh man, the flat black paint really works. Took this picture from my bedroom window. You can see multiple vehicles but can you see my ZJ? Very hard to see.

Was out near Saguaro Lake today. You can see Weaver's Needle in the background. For those not familiar with the area, this is all part of the Superstition Mountains east of Phoenix, AZ.

Had fun going from page az up to big water Utah to travel through Smokey mountain road up through croton road then left hand collete up to escalante Utah. It started pouring rain through the shelf roads it was crazy!

emeliyeehaw 12-21-2021 09:40 AM

Hey y'all, finally hopping on this thread, looking for friends for my 91 jeep Dolly.

Ive been on a couple trails so far, one really intense one up near the mogollon rim studying geology of the area. Dont have time right now to go dirtin', but Im very interested in doing parts trades if anyone has some, as well as just chatting about mods people have done/want to do. Pickapart has been disappointing lately :/

Who here is near Tempe?

Here she is btw:

I'm in N. Mesa (val vista and Mcdowell). My jeep still doesn't run, so i'm not hitting any trails any time soon, but I'm still here.

Hey everyone, I live out east and I'm in the market for an XJ. I have my eye on one for sale in Tucson. This is short notice, apologies in advance, but I'm searching for somebody mechanically inclined that knows there way around a Jeep to do an in person inspection and test drive for me, either on Tuesday or Wednesday morning (auction deadline is later on Wednesday) of this week.

If you think you can help please send me a message. Of course I will Venmo you for your time!

Thanks. Fingers crossed that I can harness the power of the AZ XJ community!

New XJ to Mesa, AZ Area

Hey Jeepers! Loading up the XJ on a trailer today and moving to AZ. Pulled the 33's to put some stock 29's (I think!) for the trip. My bro said it looks like a buff dude that forgot leg day! Lol
It's my life long (hopefully not my entire life!) Build and have had some slow progress jn recent years. But looking forward to finding a good mechanic out in AZ that can help me upgrade my differentials and get back on the trails! Anyone on here up for linking up some time, share referrals, etc. Hit me up! Looking forward to Jeepin in AZ!

Still in Kingman Pete. But still back and forth to the Ca place to take care of Dad over there.

I hope you have been well Sir! I was thinking about you too, saw the fire and was curious if all was well there with you. :)

cruiser54 05-20-2022 02:29 PM

We had a few smoky days is all.

Bugout4x4 12-29-2022 02:27 PM

I hope all is well with the Az crew!
