Default So cal Shooters and Jeepers!

So throughout my travels I have found that a lot of gun guys tread off road and alot of offroaders shoot guns.

Well I've got a place you can do both!

I was thinking of trying to get a group together sometime between middle Febuary to middle of march. Just dropping a line out here to see if there is any interest.

The location is just north of Barstow give or take 2 hours from LA. It's a cool free place to camp and shoot and jeep.

Febuary 18th.
I'll be there early Saturday and leave Sunday at some point. women are welcome, it's the desert it's free to do whatever. Several places to camp I'll write up some directions and send them to those interested. Just PM me so I know. It's a cool place lighty traveled so I'd like to keep it out of google's reach.

It's in the vicinity of Coyote Lake south of Ft. Irwin. Like I said I'll hook you up through a PM.

Sorry Bro, can't make it. My kickdown cable is frayed half way through, my Operational Risk Management (ORM) suggests the risk doesn't outweigh the cost of potential failure. we'll try next time.
I just did a lot of work to the Cherokee too. Liberty injectors, CSF radiator, valve cover gasket, fuel pressure regulator and gas tank skid plate.

Y'all missed a nice weekend. I'm not sorry though, I enjoyed having the desert to myself. Maybe next time around

im trying to find a decent XJ for just that. i went out to Calico last month in a Nissan 240sx, even on the camp paths we put a hole in the oil pan. despite having to plug the hole with chewing gum, we had a blast.

Wish I knew about this!! I'm out here in the low desert near Palm Springs. Theres a nice area not too far from me that I go shooting at. I wouldn't camp there but its def a good place to shoot. I got stuck for a little bit trying to be adventurous and parked myself on a rock I didn't see in a low bush. After about 30 minutes of digging and clearing a path I was able to get out. Really wish my xj was 4wd :/

Hmmm...just saw this. Well, if you plan another one, drop me a line. I know a few people who like to camp and shoot.
