not sure if this thread is dead or not, but I recently bought an XJ and live in Monterey. Wondering if anyone wants to show me some local trails..

It's not that dead... Just poke it with a shovel. Haha.

I'm here in salinas, always down to hit some trails. Is your xj all stock?

There's old coast road down in big sur, and south coast ridge road, hollister is also a good place to start. I know there are a few in Santa Cruz as well, just not totally sure where. Idk if you're on naxja as well, but there're having their annual toys for tots toy run in hollister the weekend of the 21st. You should check it out.

Yeah I'm camping at Hollister hills Monday to Tuesday then running old coast road tuesday. I'll definitely check naxja out. I just hate wheeling alone.

Nice! What size lift are you going with? Are you doing it yourself? Try and get it done before next weekend!!

I'm just minutes from Monterey, so I'd be down for a meet up anywhere near by.

Cool man. Good choice on the full packs. AAL's jus don't hold up to time and use. I'd be down to help, it can be knocked out pretty fast if all the bolts come out easily. I've got the tools to do it if you need. I'm swapping my front axle before next weekend, so it'll be a jeep filled week. I'll shoot you a pm with my number.

A few guys and I were talking about making a run out to hollister next month some time. I gotta fix the damage to my jeep from the accident. Replace and upgrade!

Will do man. I've gotta replace my steering, bumper, couple of lights on the drivers side. Got hit head on by a lady who was driving on the wrong side of the road. While I'm working on it, it's getting lockers front and rear, 4.88 gears to turn the 35's, tnt long arms and belly pan, shocks , lifting it another inch, roll cage, and various other bits and pieces.
