LAS VEGAS XJ GROUP-----> 1st ROLL CALL.
If I didn't have the skid or the hitch the install would have been quicker especially when the hitch came off the jeep weird and destroyed the tip of my middle finger. That put me in a bad mood and things did not progress well afterwards

Heres the Rough Country brackets
and here is the HD Offroad brackets
The three holes on the large plate are for the nut-strip bolts.
Hey Ben, I got enough scrap around and I can use my jeep as a reference and fab up a bracket for ya, if it turns out good I can make a few for folks. Won't be stainless though.
That's actually what I was gonna do tonight... I don't fell like paying someone $25 for something I can make... But thanks for the offer.

The HD Offroad Engineering boxes I got use three mounting bolts from the Nut-strip that the fuel tank skid(if applicable) and the rear hitch would use. Removing the hitch was necessary to mount the bracket up against the unibody frame and then the hitch mounts up against the relocators. The kit is made so you can mount the relocator against the hitch but I won't have the add on hitch when I get/build a rear bumper so I didn't want to have to remove the boxes when I remove the hitch.

I plan on mounting it where the ash tray goes so I needed it to be small

So I'm installing my exhaust now. Banks instructions say to cut off all but 2.5" off the catalytic converter. It's wrong. My jeep has a step down to 2 1/4" OD pipe AFTER the o2 sensor, which would be a direct fit. So their instructions say to cut the cat, but late models don't get cut, you cut the tailpipe to fit
This is what I cut.

So basically their instructions are wrong. I'm getting a refund for a new cat. This is bull****

read over instructions to get general idea
Step two: discard instructions
Step three: install as you please to fit your needs

But I agree I'd throw a **** fit and get a new cat!!
