I always check ahead. Plus row52 helps a bunch with the pictures, but they really could do a better job with the specs on each vehicle. I found a couple xj 44's at the north San Jose lot but never had enough time or money to pull em.
I pulled an xj 44 a while ago, think I am gonna pick up a front shaft for the sye

Shoot, I've been wanting to test ride some of KTM's new bikes. I'm liking their 250 thumper. It's too bad I'm up in Oregon right now for school or else I would've gone...

So I did an axle swap on my friends mustang and now I have a nice ford 8.8 on the side of my house. Can I possibly use that the same as one from an explorer, on my xj?

I've heard you can. Measure wms to wms and cross reference it online with your current axle measurement. Make sure the gearing matches what you have already. Final thing would be the u joint at the pinion, there's an adapter or something that allows you to use your normal u joints. Then you'll have to do leaf perches and shock mounts.
