So I'm considering going out to Tahuya. I wanted to go last year and never made it. I was thinking next Sunday(4/22) Anyone know what its looking like out there? I have completly stock 97 cherokee I wanna go mash on before I park it a while and start my build up. Anyone want to go and show me the trails and get me un-stuck if it happens? Thanks

I was out there Saturday and it was pretty good, some of the hills are washed out pretty good but theres ways around them. Also I would stay out of mud lake it is 1-4 feet deep. Other than that its wet and muddy :-)

Wow!! Last time I went playing around in Mud Lake it was 1-3 feet around the edges. I don't like playing in deep water. Tahuya has been getting a lot of rain and some snow lately. Yeah, I bet it's pretty deep out in the middle. That big stump by Mud lake is awesome for Poser pics, too!

If Mud Lake has water that deep, half of the trails are under water, too. Be very careful. You can be just tooling along in what is water a couple of inches deep and then before you know it your hood sinks out of sight.

I rode through Tahuya on my dirtbike in January I think? Right now is nothing compared to then. The whole day was about seeing if you could get going fast enough to skip the puddles...otherwise your bike was under water haha

NWHunter, a good rule of thumb is not to get into water deeper than the top your front drivers side tire. Most of the water on the trails is about a foot deep so you should be fine. Grease it when you get home

Wow Tahuya was cake easy. I didn't use 4WD more then 2 or 3 times. Water was 8 to 10 inches in some areas. Overall though, I had a good time. Except the $203 dollar ticket I got for no Discover Pass
