I pulled my fenderflares off today and every stud that held them on broke
I was surprised to see that the inside of my fender flares were packed with dirt

I scrubed down one side I would have scrubed down the hole thing but my spray nozle broke so I have to get a new one tomorro.

My key finally broke off, so I had to replace the ignition lock cylinder. I am kicking my self in the *** for never changing it before. The whole job took about 30 minutes. No more push button start with a key that won't remove. Now I can leave the doors off without worrying so much.

Installed the smittybilt xrc 8000 winch the other day. Hooked up to a 40 foot red fir down a slope to pull it to the road. After my front bumper went down about 5 inches it started pulling the log up the hill. About 5 feet up the engaged mechanism came out under load and pulled about 10 feet of cable out. Could of killed or seriously hurt someone. Called smittybilt told them and said they will send me a replacement for the engaged gear. Not to happy that the winch did this. Be careful winching guys. Stay away from the cable and use all 12 feet of the remote for any winch to stay as far back as possible.

I got the OR-Fab quarter panel guards put on this weekend. I think they look pretty good. They look way better than the beat up quarter panels underneath them...lol. While tightening the bolts up for them the quarter panels were pulled somewhat back into their original shape. I snapped a pic of the driver's side and while I had the camera out I got a pic of my new free trac bar. All ready to go wheeling, now!!

Unfortunately, The best price I could find was at www.4wheelonline.com and they were still $319.00 plus shipping. Pretty spendy IMHO but, they were heavy as S**T so, I'm thinking 3/16 steel and I'm looking fwd. to seeing if those side slider bars keep trees and rocks that want to reach out an smash my rear windows, away...LOL...as you can see from the dents, tears and scratches...I've a few close calls....LOL!!

I got an e-mail today from "Brown Truck.com" my Rough Country Quick Discos will be delivered on Wednesday, July 20th. Once I get those put on I will be able to SAFELY do long road trips to my favorite wheeling spots again. I'm itching to do Evans, Elbe or Even Tillimook state Forest in Oregon. I'm reading good updates from the DNR website that things are tracking right along to get the new motor vehicle trails at Reiter opened up, too!!

I am gonna look into making some of those quarter guards. I should only need one side, I always dent stuff on my drivers side.
