Nah ever since we took em off, I wanted to put them back. Just never got around to it. I always did like the look of my nice painted flares lol

did you try cleaning yours out first? i yarded mine because i planned on setting up a couple relays to fix problems i was having (previous owner bypassed it, which works but throws a code.. code = no passing emissions) once i had it out i decided to take it apart for giggles, and saw that it was super filthy inside... cleaned it out, put it back together, and it worked just fine again.

but today...

got a bunch of work done under the hood.. yarded all a/c components except for the compressor, moved my hella supertones up behind the grill, added some hella 500 spotlights with yellow fog bulbs (also behind the grill), replaced my tired old main battery with a nice interstate one, added an accessory fuse panel next to my relocated original one, and installed factory fog switches to control the grill lights and the lights that will eventually go up on the roof.

I've tried cleaning two, and one broke in half when I tried to remove it. I ordered one off a1auto.com for 50$ and I worked fine. You can bypass it to get the jeep started but no cruise control and no engine breaking if it's an auto.

original plan was a little more elaborate bypass.. basically set it up so that when the key was on, the wiring would be connected via a relay to make the jeep think it was in drive. then another relay would jumper the park/neutral wire when cranked so that it would allow it to start. realistically that should have allowed my cruise control to work as well (if i hadnt already yarded it.. lol)

but luckily the cleaning did the trick for now.. still need to adjust it a bit tho, because my reverse lights are intermittant at best. oh well, at least she starts right?

Fixed my power windows!!! Combination of:

Dead front passenger side window motor
Broken plastic window holder for the window track (passenger side)
Solder crack in the driver's side master child lock
Broken wire in the passenger side door

But failed to fix my power locks, and something is wonky with the passenger front manual lock. The rod connecting the manual lock doesn't want to properly engage the actual door lock, even with a fresh lock-rod from the junkyard! I dont think its bent so I have no idea WTF the problem is.

Might make a thread about it if I cant get it sorted out tomorrow.

Good thing that worked, cuz it sounds like you'd spend more in relays and bases than the nss :-)

No not so much since it was in 5 pieces and half of it is still on the trans lol. I bypassed it so it would run but I miss my cruise and the little yellow light is getting on my nerves. ...

Could be a bad instrument cluster connection, bad connection at pcm, shorted wire(s), even perhaps the cps. There are a lot of threads on it.

Mocked up my lights on my rack for my 360* of light project. Finish mounting and wiring this weekend.

Hidden inside the confines of the rack, so they should stand a chance on the trail.

I like the lights, and I really like the second bar. Gives it more depth :P
