I forgot to tell you guys, I also found out from Tristan that the trail I saw back in September that paralleled the Easy Valley Connector never was an official trail approved by the DNR. In fact, the A-holes who made the trail flattened/killed/destroyed $100,000.00 dollars worth of seedling evergreen trees which had been planted in that clearing after it had been logged. Guys, this is the kind of stuff we have to be on the look out for. I'm guilty of driving through the trail a couple of times myself because I had no idea what had been damaged in the building of this trail. The damage done DEFINITELY explains why the trail is closed and so thoroughly blocked. You guys will see the blockade across the road when you go to cruise up the Easy Valley Connector Trail.

The gate at the bottom was open. The old washed out part of the trail is completely blocked off and the new by-pass Jeep trail that was made out of the old Pat's Trail (bike trail) is awesome!!! The Rock Face on Expressway was slicker than snot. Be very wary careful of bouncing on the slick rock. it is murder on axle shafts, knuckle joints, ball joints, drive shafts and DS U-joints....LOL! Right, Alex?? Ron's Run is a muddy mess. The upper portion of Lower Mainline with the the Boulder and steep snotty hillclimb was amazing!!! I made it up and Zack made it up in his YJ on 35s without pulling cable....however it is a "not being scared" and wheel base thing I'm sure because right after us a guy in a Bobbed Yota on 39s had to winch over the boulder....and not for a lack of trying every line he could think of. I did lose another tail light but I don't even count them as damage anymore. I've broken so many of them wheeling my Jeep I've lost count...LOL. I guess it's time to get a set of steel tail light boxes. You guys will have a Blast up at Walker on the 10th. Plan on using your winches and tow straps, though. If you don't end up needing too Bonus! but, have them ready and in working order. I noticed that the new trail I saw last time I was up at Walker in mid September, that pralleled the Easy Valley Connector, is now VERY VERY thoroughly blocked off. I'm guessing that was an illegal trail made by guys who didn't first get it cleared to build it, with the DNR Reps. BTW, if any of you guys have any questions concerning Walker Valley, the DNR Reps in charge of it are Tristan Currin and Jim Cahill. I have telephone numbers and e-mails for both of them if anybody ever wants to contact them with questions about Walker Valley.
