Anyone going on this run from down south? Renton, Kent, Federal Way area. Thought it would be nice to meet up somewhere along the way and convoy over the rest of the way.

If I have the budget this month, I will be heading up from south bellevue. A good place to meet would be the denny's at the bottom of the kennydale hill going 405 north.

No eta . They are cutting in a new trail and making one of the biker trails in to a jeep trail to connect the mainline to the express way and closing the washed out trail for good, so as of right now we will get to the express way just have to go around that's all.

I believe the upper main line loop is open. However, it must be accessed from the top via lower mainline and so on. Yes, I will definitely be hitting Ron's run in both directions and maybe again if time allows !!!

I was up at Walker just this last Sunday. Walker was at it's best and most fun. It was sloppy, muddy, wet, slick and still raining. The Upper Mainline trail is now open. The gate at the bottom was open. The old washed out part of the trail is completely blocked off and the new by-pass Jeep trail that was made out of the old Pat's Trail (bike trail) is awesome!!! The Rock Face on Expressway was slicker than snot. Be very wary careful of bouncing on the slick rock. it is murder on axle shafts, knuckle joints, ball joints, drive shafts and DS U-joints....LOL! Right, Alex?? Ron's Run is a muddy mess. The upper portion of Lower Mainline with the the Boulder and steep snotty hillclimb was amazing!!! I made it up and Zack made it up in his YJ on 35s without pulling cable....however it is a "not being scared" and wheel base thing I'm sure because right after us a guy in a Bobbed Yota on 39s had to winch over the boulder....and not for a lack of trying every line he could think of. I did lose another tail light but I don't even count them as damage anymore. I've broken so many of them wheeling my Jeep I've lost count...LOL. I guess it's time to get a set of steel tail light boxes. You guys will have a Blast up at Walker on the 10th. Plan on using your winches and tow straps, though. If you don't end up needing too Bonus! but, have them ready and in working order. I noticed that the new trail I saw last time I was up at Walker in mid September, that pralleled the Easy Valley Connector, is now VERY VERY thoroughly blocked off. I'm guessing that was an illegal trail made by guys who didn't first get it cleared to build it, with the DNR Reps. BTW, if any of you guys have any questions concerning Walker Valley, the DNR Reps in charge of it are Tristan Currin and Jim Cahill. I have telephone numbers and e-mails for both of them if anybody ever wants to contact them with questions about Walker Valley.

Just got another e-mail from Tristan Currin (Walker Valley DNR Rep.) I have a very important update to what I put out previously about the Upper Mainline Trail (new bypass section). The Upper Mainline Trail is not.....I repeat NOT "OFFICIALLY" re-opened yet. Evidently somebody or a group of somebodys broke the gate open. The DNR Reps. will heading up a working party on 10 November 2012, the same day you guys are planning to go whjeeling up there. They are going to be putting some rock on that new section up trail to keep it from turning to mush and washing out. Which is exactly what good old Walker valley clay does when it gets wet if it doesn't have any rock mixed in with it. So you guys can go help the working party while you are up there or you can just steer clear of that section of trail.
