So I just received my latest and greatest monthly issue of Peterson's 4Wheel and Offroad. This year's Ultimate Adventure was the cover story. I took a quick look through the pictures before I read the article. I was thinking to myself man that area where they were looked really familiar. So I started reading and they started out down in Oregon. They spent the first couple of days down in Oregon, in fact. Then to my amazement I read that they cruised up to Elbe and they ran our own Infamous Busy Wild Trail. I thought that was pretty darn cool that they ran one that close to home. From reading the write up and looking at the pictures they got their Butts kicked by it, too!!! I've never seen tires smaller than 37s-39s on those UA rigs. The article said by the end of the trail EVERYBODY had taken some kind of body damage...LMAO
Now, that's what I'm talking about!!! Just had to share that with all of you guys. I don't feel so bad about getting knocked around and having to winch a couple of times on the Busy back in May on my tiny little 33s....when rigs with V-8s, 39s and basically money being no object, were getting all they could handle from it!!
If you are an avid reader of Peterson's then you know that a few years back the Ultimate Adventure crew ran a couple of Trails at another of our favorite 4 Wheeling spots, (then) Reiter Pit. I believe when they do finally re-open the more "Tree Hugger" friendly version it will be called Reiter Foothills ORV area or something like that.
I think those UA boys need to come up to Walker around the January time frame and run the Expressway. With it being good and wet or maybe even having a few inches of snow on it they would get more than they bargained for...LOL!!
