temp/heat problem..

i have a 90 xj.. it take for ever for the heat to get hot.. the temp will be below 210 and still will be blowing cold aire.. then when i am in town and i am stop and go the jeep gets hot.. but when i drive like 35+ it cools off to norm temp.. but thats the only time it will cool itself off is when its moving.. could it be thermostat?

possibly the thermostat, easy fix if it is, but i would look more toward the heater valve. if you are not getting heat then it is probably clogged and not circulating radiator fluid right. easy to replace, just put all the hoses in the right order when you put them back

i've got a spare heater control valve if you live close to Oak Harbor...but they are pretty cheap so if you live farther the 30 min away...just buy one
