Default Tahuya Aug 4th (Sunnday)

I'm thinking of making a short trip up to Tahuya this Sunday. Anyone interested in joining?

I won't be leaving until around 12:30, and I just wanted to do some simple trail riding to give my new suspension a small workout.

If you could make it like 9 or 10, I will go. Its an hour drive for me and I want to have enough time to hit some rock garden's

Sadly this time around I can't. That's what time I'd like to leave as well (its an hour drive for me too) But I run the soundboard/light board at my church on alternating weekends, and this is that weekend :P

Normally I'd be down for leaving at 5am if that's what people wanted. As long as I get to go wheeling I'm happy.

Nope, but with a locker in the rear, I can run everything at tahuya in 2WD

I hear you there. Maybe if we make it for the weekend after I'll throw the family in the XJ and let her stretch her legs.

ugh, my August weekends are completely full :/

I'm still gonna make a run tomorrow, Nothing serious. Just the basic trails to give my new lift and stuff a test run. Maybe I'll run into some fellow wheelers out there. Place seem pretty populated.

Next weekend I'm camping somewhere... the weekend after that I'm camping somewhere else? The weekend after that I think I'm free though :P and if I'm not free that means I'm either camping, hiking, 4 wheeling, or my rig is under repair

So, I went up there, but I didn't make it very far. The trail is MUCH rougher than described by people. Considering I was alone, and my XJ is my daily driver, after getting myself in an extremely tight situation I decided it'd be best to "try" and turn around and head back.

So I went to Beaver Pond instead :P

I'm pretty confident that once I get my sway bar disconnects put on, tow hooks, and people that know the trails, that I'll be able to tackle it again. But idk, maybe I just entered in the tough spot and missed the trails that I hear people talking about all the time.

It was loads of fun though, all ten minutes of it.

Tahuya is pretty easy really.u gotta get ur rear sway off if that ish is still on.and pick up some front disconnects for ur sway and you'll pretty much walk threw tahuya.I'm glad u didn't go up to evans cause it would of been a long day for u.

You really need a guide or map to show you around. There ARE trails you can take a Honda CRV on and trails that you need a little lift and no sway bars. Set a date and I will guide you around out there.
