I have a wedge shaped box and I use a ratchet strap running from lower back seat mount (hinge) to lower back seat mount. It pins it against the back seat really tight. Ive also used a chain and padlock in the same position. I currently just have it sitting there tho.

I have an ammo crate full of tools strapped down on the 4 tie downs in the back, and the sub box is between it and the hatch, with a ratchet strap. Its tight against the tool box and has not moved an inch even wheeling.
