Only framed jeeps are CJ/Wranglers and FSJ's. Rest are unibody.

Cherokee don't have a rust problem.. You location does lol. It doesnt matter if its XJ, TJ, ZJ,WJ.. If you live in rust heaven like CO rust with eat your car.

They dont rust as bad at all that i am familiar with.. I never seen rust on any zj i been around. And they r unibody just like the xj. The whole front end is same as xj. Same steering, control arms, d30. The only diff is the zj comes with a lp as apposed to most xj is hp. The gears are 3.73 rather then 3.55 altho i think some had 3.55 not sure. And most zj has a cv style axle shaft instead of u joint. That changed quick on mine lol. Cv sucks. And ofcourse the rear coils wich is pretty similar to the tj.

Personally i like lifted wjs alot. My sister has one that we lifted and its bad *** AND a luxury ride!!

I bought my wife an 03 wj overland last feb and am building it starting in jan!
I personally wish my WJ was stock.. Its a nice Car imo. but the suspension geometry is ghey. The rear A-arm is just crap. the front is super sensitive to changes, sneeze and you'll end up with death wobble

So everyone here knows... I dont hate Zj's, I personally wouldn't mind experimenting with one a little. I'm just trying to weigh in everyones Pro's/Con's and opinions. Now I seen a guy made mention about Limited Slip diff from the factory... Does every Zj have one? 2nd note I read was... Coils all around, Are there lifts out there that offer replacement coils for lifting a Zj?

(Completely separate note, ZJ OWNERS, Does the Wrangler(Tj) use the same size coils as the ZJ grand cherokee?)

All zj has lsd i belive. The coils front are same as zj. The tj rear is a wider spring then the zj. They make tons of lift springs for zj just like tj and xj

So... With the talk for Zj's going on... Whats your opinions on this ZJ? This is a first to me!!! I currently own a moderately rare 97 Xj with a AX-15 manual and its loaded with every option but a sunroof and leather seats.

Yah, I dont really want another Manual Jeep. The one I have is enough. I'm curious on this Limited Slip thing you were saying. I've spent an hour on google... and I can't find anything to back up what you were saying about how most all grand cherokee's have a limited slip. (Not calling you a liar) I Just want to be informed for when I do look... and know what too look for without having to ask a seller if I can jack up the rear end to test.

In 2009 I started wheeling my 1993 ZJ

I slowly started building it which caused a lot of damage all around ... Finally I got around to finishing the whole thing with a Short Arm 4.5" lift and a 2" spacer boost
I run 33"s and have rocksliders ....

Finally I came across a 1996 ZJ so I swapped all my parts from the 93 to the 96 ZJ

Rebuilt 44RE Tranny and a 93k mile 5.2 I put into it ... Resealed (gaskets)

Ive wanted a ZJ for awhile. Overall im really bored with XJ's. Im only on my second one but im just tired of driving an XJ.

My perfect rig(right now) would be a ZJ or WJ lifted around 4" on 32s. About the same as my previous XJ was but its something different. I get bored really easy. Only reason i havent actually done it is because all the crap i hear about bad wiring and crap transmissions.
