I got it all back together today! New rear main and new oil pan gaskets are in! Letting the silicone set up overnight and gonna give her a rip tomorrow! Wish me luck!

Mine was like that when I had my 89. Took me 4 hours to change my oil. Had to pry, beat, pry some more.

my next door neighbor bought a xj and ask how to get the oil filter off i walked over stabbed the filter with a flat head and pulled it off he just stood there looking at me funny

Yeah mine was rusted on, PO obviously didn't do much work on it, got fed up and shoved a screwdriver through it and came right off

I remember haveing to take the oil sending unit adapter off after the engines po stripped it with a torques head socket...... lets just say i welded a nut on to it after i got it off.

That sucks, I'll remember the screwdriver thing, on another note I cannot beleive how much caked on dirt and stuff is stuck on the steering knuckles and steering bar! I gotta pressure wash it before it snows...

Yeah my first one was pretty bad, between the dirt and grease, had to pressure wash before I did my lift
