so just got home from the run. didnt go so well. we had about 15 cherokees and a few wranglers and a cj. lets just say there were three of us with lockers front and rear and set up well, one guy with a front locker, and the rest open, then add slick snow and hill climbs and you get a mess of a day lol it was still fun but it went really slow. one guy broke a front axle shaft and i think that was about all the damage besides some new dents

Looks like you guys had a great turn out. Also looks like you were there well past dark getting broke/stuck people out...UGH! You didn't have quite as much snow as we dealt with last time but, I'm quite sure there is more to come. So, are all of those NAXJA guys on 35s? I saw a lot of BIG tires.

Most of us on NAXJA are 33-35" tires. I'm personally cheating with 32s...but 33s or 35s are in my future.

I'm running 33" Maxxis Bighorns. I haven't had them in the snow much. Can't wait to try them out. I would love to go for a run with you all sometime soon. Will there be another snow run to Evans Creek in the near future for NAXJA....or maybe a snow run to Reiter Pit or Walker Valley?

Reiters closed till further notice (at least till the summer I bet). We don't necessarily have a lot of official runs. There's one run every year where they go on a forest service road and camp for the night in the pass...but that's about it. Otherwise once we get into December it's likely the runs will have requirements for any that are posted. That is they'll likely require 33" tires, at least one locker, tow points, and experience in the snow. Unless you've wheeled with who ever sets up the run, it's unlikely you'll be allowed in if you don't meet the requirements from what I've seen in the pass.

I'll probably wheel Walker next myself, I haven't been there in awhile.

I'm with Bobby. There looked to be way too many rigs to get on very many trails. A group of 4-7 properly set up rigs is all you want.

I have 33" mud terrain tires, 4.56 gears, 6" lift, lockers front and rear, tow points front and rear, an 8K winch, armor all the way around, CB radio, A LOT of snow driving experience and I built my rig from stock so I can fix any problem I would have.

I made it through all the trails last Evans Creek Snow run with bald 32" tires. I'm positive I can hold my own on any snow run the way my rig is set up now.

ya brian you would have no problem fitting in.

and no there was me and the red xj with the stinger (cherokeefever) that were running the only 35s. most were on 31s and a couple on 33s. most were open open. im gonna start leaning toward those runs with the requirements lol but yes there will be a ton more snow at evans and im sure we will be getting another much smaller group togethr to go run it
