Default Diagnostic Comp

If anyone near the everett area has a diagnostic computer that will plug to an xj and knows how to use I will pay for some help. Tried everything to get this pig to run but I am baffeled. No-one I know has any idea, so before I tear this motor down to find an internal problem I want to see if any fault codes come up, that will put me on a different track.

or if there is a mobile mechanic with one that someone knows I will pay mialage, gas and time, to see if I missed something stupid

PM me or call me at 425 322 8046

any help is appreciated

thanks

Sorry I cant help... but have you replaced the CPS? (crank position sensor) I know that is a big cause to these motors not starting. If you have fuel and spark I would seriosly look into this.

you cant plug a computer into the 88 cherokee. i know the renix system 87-90 4.0 cherokee motor pretty good. its know what works with what and how it works together. get a good multimeter and learn how to use it

I know on my jeep that if I cycle the key into the on position and off again like 3-4 times a light blinks codes that you can look up in a Haynes manual. Not sure if your jeep has that but its worth a look.
