Just installed a RE 5.5" short arm kit on my XJ and am in need of an alignment. I'm new to the area and was hoping you guys would point me in the right direction as far as shops go. I'm right by Tahuya (Belfair - just south of Bremerton).
I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that most chain places like Les Schwab, Firestone, etc wont do lifted rigs with adjustable control arms. Right?
If anyone would help me out I'd appreciate it greatly.
Im looking forward to meeting some of you guys soon.

Hey man, I have the same kit as you and opted for adjustable everything as well. Took it down to les Schwab the next morning and they had no problems aligning it.

Oh les schwab will do it if you find the right one. If you r in the portland area hit me up. I work for les schwab and align everything. Lifted lower bagged i dont care what it is ill do it. Most alignment shops opt to not align anything thats been modified and its their call but find a shop that has a competent tech and itll get done. But seriously if your in portland hit me up ill align it no prob. I go alignment tech buddies around seattle area if you still need it done text me 503.840.2525 and ill get u hooked up.

Thanks fellas! Talked to the Les Schwab in Belfair and they didn't give me the warm-n-fuzzies so I spoke with Northridge4X4 and they recommended a Goodyear in Silverdale. I'm headed there tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks again!

Sitting at Goodyear in Silverdale...furious! I'm at a caster of +3 and told them to set it at between +5.25 and +5.75. My adjustable arm (upper) is adjusted to its max (in) so he said he couldn't do it. I went out there, and told him to shim the bottom arm as if it were a stock setup. The so called "alignment tech" said he's never had to adjust the caster on a cherokee so they don't have any shims.
I told him to just set the toe-in and get my rig off the lift! I'll do it myself.

Dude that sux. Go grab an angle finder and set it up yourself. Sorry to hear that it seems that all the new alignment techs out there are total douches now.

The only reason it might be to low is if they have the old arm style heads. Or if the clamps hit the fenders. The clamp thing is the only reason that i cant align very very very few rigs. Think in last 5 years i had 2 that i couldnt cuz the tires and part of the wheel was tucked up inside the fender, you cant put aligment heads on em like that. Sorry u guys have such bad issues with all these different shops.
