You can get to the fuel pump from the outside of the rig.

You don't drop the tank and you can't get to it from inside the car.

Jeeps dont have a fuel shut of switch. Some cars do ex fords and such but jeeps no. One way you can check the pump is take the filter off. Put the hose in a jug and turn the key over either it will pump or wont. If u have checked to make sure it getting power then it probably is the pump.

WELL FUG me running ... lol ... yeah , parts guys seem pretty damn worthless now a days ... I allready got all the seats out , i think im going to order the pump online and save a few pennies , this carpet is horrid under the seats so it needs to be dealt with regardless... as far as getting to the pump from under the car , your saying i would not need to drop the tank out to do so ? that seems much easier .

Have you looked under your truck...ever?

Get some cardboard to toss on the ground. Slide under and just look for awhile.
