ZJ gas tank in an XJ?

ZJ gas tank in an XJ?
My tank is leaking in my 92 the last wheeling trip wasn't kind. Will a ZJ tank fit/work in a 92. Waiting to hear back on the year ZJ its out of if that matters.

i wouldn't see why not, have not tried it but if you got a welder anything is possible,
keep all the filler hoses and junk just in case, but with little fab work anything is possible
